Description
Funds are available for the College of Theology continuing students through the CPU General Fund and the College of Theology Endowment and Outright Funds Interest, except for the Theology Endowments/Funds with specific guidelines and polices. Hence, a tuition and dormitory subsidy is hereby granted by the University to the Fifth Year student of the College.
Criteria for Eligibility
A student is a member of a CPBC local church.
All CPBC pastors’ kids* are entitled to a free tuition scholarship upon the recommendation of the General Secretary of CPBC.
Coverage of Scholarship
100% free tuition and 50% dormitory privilege
Conditions for Maintaining the Scholarship
- Must maintain an average grade of 2.25 for the term/semester. Failure to fulfill this requirement will mean forfeiture of tuition scholarship for the extension of his academic residency in the College if ever he/she incurs failures, left, or dropped for the current term.
- Shall carry the full load each semester according to the curriculum of the course he/she is enrolled in.
- Shall conduct himself/herself in and out of the campus in accordance with the University and College’s policies and regulations (refer to the Gold and Blue Student Handbook and the CT Student Handbook).
- Shall forfeit the scholarship on the following grounds: Non-compliance with the above-mentioned terms; Dropping of any subject without justifiable reason that would result in under loading, or going on a leave of absence without seeking prior approval from the College; and shifting to another course.
Responsibility/Accountability of the Student
Maintain Christian integrity and character (refer to CT Student Handbook, pp. 7-8, 14-15). Attend seminary activities.
The remaining twenty-five per cent (25%) of the tuition and dormitory fees and other miscellaneous fees should be shouldered by the student
himself/herself.
Comply with the COT academic and administrative requirements
Comply to specific requirements of the donor (if a student has scholarship other than the privilege enjoyed from the University)**
In the event he/she stops or shifts to any course, he/she will pay in cash the total amount spent by the University for the tuition, board and lodging fees.
In the event the student has Failed (5.0), lapsed Incomplete (INC), Left (L), Dropped (D) marks, he/she will pay the amount equivalent to the total number of units of the subjects taken during the semester. He/she will present a receipt of payment for the said marks (5.0, INC, L, D) during the enrolment period.
The student is not allowed to enroll not until he/she pays off all his/her balances at the Business Office.
Responsibility of the College/University
The College of Theology through its Scholarship Committee screens and
recommends to the Dean the list of the grantees and submits through channels
the same to the Office of the President for approval.
