The Seminary has a unique role. It is the only school in the region which offers higher training in the theological education for the Christian ministry of evangelical churches, particularly those in the Convention of the Philippine Baptist Churches. The Seminary aims to  (1) provide quality theological education through disciplined study; (2) encourage and develop critical thinking by maintaining openness to insights from related disciplines; (3) develop pastoral identity that is reflective of his/her calling; (4) develop strong conviction and commitment in responding to the needs of the churches and the community; (5) strengthen the biblical, evangelical and ecumenical perspective through for a trainings, and research; and (6) strengthen servanthood through experiential training opportunities and supervised pastoral and community work.                   Believing that theological education is for the strengthening of the servanthood of the church, the school operates its program in conscious awareness of the need of the churches in the promotion of their mission.
