Rationale and Purpose of the Program 

                Bachelor of Theology program is designed to prepare students for pastoral/ministerial leadership in the local congregations and other church-related institutions. This program is accredited by the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA).

Goal of the Program

                The goal of this program is to provide students with the following: general knowledge of the biblical tradition; appreciation of the Asian heritage and historical context; clear understanding of pastoral identity; leadership and essential skills and competencies for ministry both in the religious and community life. The program also intends to prepare students for ordination.

                The students are expected to demonstrate a certain level of competency in skills and comprehension of the purpose of the program that reflects the mission and objectives of Central Philippine University and that of the College of Theology. The learning outcomes for this program are embedded in the curriculum and extra –curricular activities of the College.
