Subject Title: Early & Medieval Church History

Subject Description: The course studies the development and growth of the Christian Church up to 500 A.D.. It continues to deal with the fate of the Roman Empire after its fall.  In the Eastern or Asiatic section, the church continued under the Imperial control; the southern or African section came under the Moslems and in the Western European section, the dual institutions of the Holy Roman Empire and the Roman Catholic competed for control after the kingdom of the Germanic invaders merges under Charlemagne and latter Otto.
